Duchess of Cambridge has the “Midas touch”

Is it any wonder that sheA?s a style icon and the woman to watch as far as whatA?s new on the fashion forefront? The Duchess of Cambridge knows what looks good on her and more importantly she carries off any outfit with style and grace. DidnA?t Princess Diana have that same style sense? Kind of eerie, isnA?t it? Moving on….

Women are rushing to imitate her style and whatever she wears seems to have that little bit of fairydust attached to it. The Rebecca Taylor suit in navy tweed that the Duchess wore earlier this year has gone gold, selling out within minutes. Now, the New York based label is making a jump across the pond to open its first store in the UK. Rebecca Taylor, the New Zealand-born designer, told Vogue recently that, “There is lots of great momentum in London at the moment. We love London and always want an excuse to come over. The UK market is really important for us – I think that UK girls have a real Rebecca Taylor sensibility. The brand is really in line with British style, which is feminine but cool.”

And it seems like sheA?s not the only designer who thinks so judging from the influx of US labels who have opened stores in the UK recently, amongst them VictoriaA?s Secret and Rag & Bone.

The Rebecca Taylor line is known for its feminine lines and sophisticated elegance and has made a name for itself in New YorkA?s trendy Nolita district and is also well-received by some Hollywood celebrities among them Whitney Port, Ashley Tisdale and Sophia Bush. Now, British fashionistas can take to the streets in her designs as well and with the Duchess of Cambridge backing her up, it can only go “gold” from here.
