Daisy Lowe sheds her clothes to display Diet Coke’s tattoo bottle design

It is something different from the run-of-the-mill ads where models display their perfect bodies in designer duds to sell an idea. This time around, Jean Paul Gaultier went one better and decided to let “art and design” do all the talking. He designed a corset-style bottle cover for Coca Cola Light using a tattoo design and the powers-in-the-know projected it onto the body of a model to make it work. The model in question is Daisy Lowe and she does a fantastic job of looking like a Coke bottle. Dressed in nothing but the tattoo and showing off her enviable curves, the model flashes a bright red smile and wears a hat resembling a Coke bottle cap on her head. A perfect ad? Well, it is different. It is new, chic and oh so extraordinaire and it grabs our attention.

The model has said, “I love Jean Paul Gaultier’s designs, they’re so iconic. Gaultier creates clothes that make women feel powerful and feminine.” Daisy is not new to lending her face and body to ad campaigns. She has fronted campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, DKNY, Mango and Esprit and has what it takes to capture our attention and this ad is no different.

The tattoo design is meant to show Diet Coke’s take on fashion, which is all about fun and the lighter side of life. Jean Paul Gaultier designed the three-piece collection earlier this summer taking the iconic approach and this is not the first time that a designer has been in collaboration with Coke. Other designers who have added their designer touch to the label are Roberto Cavalli, Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamson and Marni.

We must say that Jean Paul Gaultier’s corset style tattoo design is unique and the man knows what it takes to sell an idea and that folks is the honest truth.
