Kate Upton is no “heffalump!”

She’s gorgeous, she’s got curves in all the right places but she is no skinny minny and that is the difference between Kate Upton and your average fashion model. According to British Vogue editor, Alexandra Shulman, she is no “heffalump” either.

Kate Upton fronts the January 2013 issue of British Vogue and that must be a coup in itself for the curvy model. She’s gone from Sports Illustrated to British Vogue and if that’s not a definite step-up, we don’t know what is. Kate is seen showing off her curves in a tight-fitting white dress on the cover of the mag and Alexandra Shulman puts it this way. “It’s very rare for a girl to move from one area of the business to the other, largely due to the fact that fashion models are almost without curves, whereas swimwear girls are celebrated for them. When I decided to shoot Kate for our first cover of 2013, it was to kick off the year with a young women who is not a stereotypical fashion model – although, let’s face it, she’s hardly a heffalump!”

Nooo……a “heffalump” she is not. Kate has got what it takes to move up the success ladder and she is doing exactly that. Those days of flaunting her curves in skimpy swimwear seems to be behind her as she moves towards being more avant garde. We’ll end by saying, “Caution: Curves Ahead!”
