David Gandy poses for Johnnie Walker Blue Label
We’re used to him showing off his killer abs but this time around, it’s cover-up and believe it or not, he looks just as good. Model David Gandy covered up in a neat black suit to promote his latest campaign for whisky brand, Johnnie Walker Blue Label. He also showcased his moustache which did bear a faint resemblance to former 007, Timothy Dalton although we must say that Gandy comes off looking a touch more debonair.
The shoot took place at the stylish Artesian Bar in Langham, London and Gandy brought home his role as “Brand Ambassador” for the label rather well. Looking suave and holding a whisky glass in his hands, he stared moodily into the camera and it was a perfect shot for a whisky commercial. As male models go, he’s one of the better known and more successful ones. Gandy was also recently named as London’s 1,000 most influential people by the Evening Standard. He had this to say about his new campaign: “It’s a great privilege to work with Johnnie Walker Blue Label – it’s a modern classic. The blend of its British heritage, international style and craftsmanship demonstrates a sense of progress and achievement that I value in today’s luxury brands.”
The campaign was launched this month and will make its high-point at the London Collections: Men, Autumn/Winter 2013 event which takes place on the 7th through the 9th of January. Until then, BOTTOMS UP!
