Cara Delevingne adds another feather to her cap
Young model on the fast-track to fame, Cara Delevingne who has been likened to Kate Moss is one of three in the new “Have You Seen Pepe” campaign, the other two superstar wannabes are actress Mia Goth and model Jeremy Young but it is Cara who steals the show.
The campaign which was shot by fashion photographer Josh Olins and styled by Claire Richardson celebrates 40 years of Pepe Jeans and was shot along the streets of Notting Hill. The mission is to find an illusive character named Pepe which takes the almost modern Muskateer-like trio through London’s Portobello Road area with its pretty parks, local watering holes and on to Kensington Park with its well-kept gardens all the while dressed in, you guessed it, the best of Pepe denim. Do they ever find Pepe? That’s not important folks, get the gist?
Cara looks perfect in her role, young, vibrant and very much a natural for the hip and trendy denim wear. Comparing her style to friends, Sienna Miller and Alexa Chung, she had this to say, “My style is a mixture of both Sienna and Alexa although I’m more tom boyish than either of them. They dress very casually, but still look very chic all the time.”
The current face of Burberry and Chanel also voiced her opinion on being called the next Kate Moss. “It’s crazy to be even considered in the same calibre as Kate, it’s a huge compliment but scary even to be mentioned in the same breath.” Looks like rising-star Cara has her feet planted firmly on the ground. What’s next? She says, “I would love to design my own range of t-shirts. I love them and wear them all the time and I can never find really plain ones. The devil is in the detail.”
Hmmm….from the look of things, that’ll have to wait a while as Cara’s got bigger and better things coming her way and that’s the honest truth.
