TRESemme Style Setters: Tracy Reese Hair Test

Tracy Reese shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC and lead stylist Jeanie Syfu was there to bring mayhem to a standstill as far as hairstyles were concerned. Jennie’s mission was to create the ultimate city chic look and designer Tracy Reese wanted hairstyles aimed at the modern New York girl. Natural do-it-yourself styles were at the top of the agenda and Jeanie worked her magic with a little help from TRESemme’s Color Care Fresh Start Dry Shampoo which creates a halo effect and works well with the lighting on the runway.

TRESemme Style Setters: Minkoff Hair Test

Shenae Grimes heads backstage at the Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2013 show and speaks to the designer and lead stylist Jeanie Syfu. Rebecca Minkoff’s inspiration for the collection was Neil Armstrong. The lines were strong and featured flight suit details. Jeanie’s mission was to create super sleek looks with a centerpart for a perfectly straight look. To re-create the style at home, start with Thermal Creation Volume Mousse, work into roots, blow-dry using a good brush to seal the look beautifully. Use a shine spray as a finishing touch to highlight and define the sleek hairdo.

TRESemme Style Setters: Packham Hair Test

Shenae Grimes meets designer Jenny Packham whose inspiration for the Fall Collection comes straight out of the salons of 17th century Paris. Lots of sparkles and beading make up a collection that is very formal but she wanted to tone-down the look to make it more modern and young. Jeanie Syfu creates a loose ponytail style with bits of hair framing the face for a soft and young look. The style is created with TRESemme’s 24 Hour Hair Body Lotion to give lift and hold for easy care hair. A young and casual statement paired with Jenny’s collection is exactly what the designer was looking for and called it “a beautiful look.”

TRESemme Style Setters: Reese Backstage

The hair test went really well and it’s just hours before the show. Shenae Grimes is backstage to meet with lead stylist Jeanie Syfu who is putting the finishing touches to the models before the show. A straight and textured hairstyle is what designer and stylist have settled on. It is inspired by the modern and busy New York Girl on-the-go who has very little time to fool with her hair. Jeanie comes up with a style that has a front sweep with a severe part and is sort of swept over. The hair is teased at the crown to give it a full look. To re-create the style at home, prep the hair with products. Flip the hair over and spray Thermal Creations Volume Mousse into hair. Blow dry on high heat and flip hair back and tease with a comb. Finish with a 24 Hour Finishing Spray. Watch how Tracy’s beautiful clothes and Jeanie’s hair creation come together on the runway.

TRESemme Style Setters: Minkoff Backstage

Minkoff’s collection has a very structured look and to complement the collection, Jeanie Syfu creates hair that is pin straight, sleek and long. Jeanie uses Keratin Smooth products and sprays it on to achieve that long, sleek and frizz-free look. To get the Minkoff style at home, Jeanie suggests using a nozzle for sleek, smooth hair.
