Has Victoria’s Secret cut Miranda Kerr over her “difficult reputation?”
Rumour has it that Victoria’s Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr’s three-year-contract with the lingerie giant has not been renewed. Sources are claiming that it’s because of her “diva-like” behaviour.
One source told US Weekly that Ms Kerr “has a difficult reputation” and it’s the main reason why she’ll never walk for the company again. Another is claiming that Miranda is “not a big seller for VS.” Yet another source told People, “She can be difficult at shoots and appearances. She’s not very timely. She’s standoffish with the rest of the girls.” And yet another source added, “If Miranda and Victoria’s Secret part ways, it’s not because of her behaviour. It’s purely contractual. She’ll be coming back for the show but it’s unclear if she’ll be in future campaigns . But she is definitely one of the most popular models and in high demand.” Have all that fame and success gone to her head and is she really THAT difficult?
Victoria’s Secret Chief Marketing Officer, Ed Razek puts it this way. “Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me….In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed.”
Mr Razek has cleverly stayed away from any mention of contract renewal and that should keep the rumour-mill churning for quite some time to come. Is she or is she not an “Angel” is still up-in-the-air but then again as far as we’re concerned, she’ll always be an “Angel” with or without wings.
