Jeremy Scott’s fairy tale story has now become a reality. From being just a farm boy intern to now running things, Moschino has named the fun, rebellious American fashion designer as creative director for the brand. In an e-mail, Aeffe chairman Massimo Ferretti noted, “I am enthusiastic about this significant change, as our goal is to inject new energy into our Group in keeping with the changes already in place with other Aeffe brands such as Philosophy, Emanuel Ungaro, Pollini, and Cédric Charlier.”

The American designer got his start at the Pratt Institute in New York and upon graduation moved to Paris and started his brand. After returning back to the U.S., he did a number of collaborations with other brands such as Adidas, Linda Farrow and Longchamp.

Jeremy Scott will make his runway debut as creative director in Moschino’s fall 2014 Milan show and is replacing Rossella Jardini, who headed the label since Franco Moschino passed away in 1994. The new collection will be infused with the same quirky and street cool pieces that engaged the likings of many super pop stars including Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Katy Perry.
