Miranda Kerr’s family feud

Recently, the Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr‘s family spoke out in a television interview about how the model had become estranged from her loved ones. They told Australia’s drama documentary series Family Confidential that they had not seen or spoken to their daughter or grandson Flynn in more than a year.

The Sydney-native’s father, John Kerr, told the television show that the model didn’t inform her parents about her ending her marriage to British actor, and father of 3 year-old Flynn, Orlando Bloom back in 2013, saying that it was the film star who broke the news to them instead. Furthermore, the family claimed they hadn’t spoken to the former Victoria’s Secret angel on the phone, with her mother Therese Kerr adding that she didn’t even return her text messages.

It is well known that models can spend several months working abroad, especially those who are as in demand as Kerr. However, a source close to the family refuted their claims, telling E! News that “There is no truth to her being estranged, she speaks to her family members regularly. She directly employs her dad, brother, aunt and uncle, she recently flew her cousins out to spend Christmas with them in New York.”

The source added that many of the 30 year-old mother-of-one’s fellow countrymen “feel incredibly sorry for her” in the wake of the family’s interview, which many have viewed as nothing but an exploitative move on their part.
