Donatella Versace takes up the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Italian designer Donatella Versace is the latest fashion star to take on the most recent social media craze which involves dumping buckets of ice water on the heads of participants to promote awareness of the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease and encourage donations to research.

Posted on Versace‘s official social media platforms on Wednesday afternoon (August 27th), the video sees the noted fifty-nine year-old clothesmaker donned from head to toe in a white ensemble as she takes a seat between shirtless male models Maximilian Wefers and Christian Arno Williams, who wear matching trousers and neck chains by the Italian luxury fashion house.

As she prepares to get soaked, Versace nominates American musicians Pharrell and Prince, and Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar to take up the challenge before the two gentlemen proceed to pour the ice water from a couple of vases emblazoned with the Versace logo, which causes the platinum blonde style icon to let out a startled scream and jump out of her chair at the conclusion of the video.
