Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli plans to ban flights from the airspace over her wedding venue has been cancelled by Israeli authorities.

Initially, the request was granted by the aviation authorities, who ruled that no flights could pass over the venue between 5pm and 2am on the day of the wedding. Following public outcry to her receiving “special treatment”, Transportation Minister Israel Katz rejected her request saying, “the skies are open to all of Israel’s citizens.”

Refaeli, 30, and her fiance, Israeli businessman Adi Ezra, 40, are due to marry at a resort in the Carmel forest in northern Israel on Thursday. She previously dated Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio from 2006 to 2011 and was previously married to Arik Weinstein.
