Burberry designs Claridges legendary Christmas Tree

British luxury fashion house Burberry has collaborated with British five-star luxury hotel and Art Deco icon Claridge’s on its annual Christmas Tree.

Set in the hotel’s lobby, the traditional 16ft tree has been a festive landmark for both Londoners and visitors from around the world. This Holiday season it has been designed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee, and features hanging brass bells inspired by the house’s Equestrian Knight Design, bows made from surplus Burberry fabrics, and baubles handmade by a British glassblower.

As a nod to Burberry’s connection to the Highlands where its cashmere scarves are produced, the tree is covered in wild foliage and thistle, Scotland’s national flower. The top of the tree is adorned with a gold crown, while the base features oversized floor-standing chess pieces and cosy cushions and blankets.

‘Claridge’s has always felt like home from the moment you walk through its doors, a true symbol of elegance and British heritage where I’ve enjoyed many special moments over the years. Being invited to design the hotel’s annual Christmas tree is a huge honor. I saw it as an opportunity to celebrate tradition and togetherness – expressing the season through vibrant colors and rich textures. Christmas is my favorite time of the year,’ Lee stated in a press release.

‘Christmas is always the most magical time of the year at Claridge’s and this festive season we are honored and delighted to welcome long-standing friend Daniel Lee into our lobby. We can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for the tree and look forward to seeing guests and visitors immerse themselves in the creative world of Burberry.’ Claridge’s Managing Director, Thomas Kochs added.

Continuing the spirit of Claridge’s Christmas Tree are festive touches and elegant Burberry details throughout the hotel. A specially designed festive pop-up showcases Burberry’s latest outerwear, heritage rainwear, knitwear and soft accessories, inviting customers to explore the heritage and craft behind the iconic British design. There is also a selection of Burberry products curated with the gifting season in mind, including luxurious small leather goods and bags.

The Claridge’s Christmas Tree and Burberry festive pop-up will be on display on the hotel’s ground floor (in the lobby) until 4 January 2026.
