Model Liskula Cohen has filed a lawsuit against Google in a bid to unmask the blogger who called her a ’skank’ and an ‘old hag’ on a Web site meant to ruin her image. The Vogue model, who has posed for Giorgio Armani and Versace, wants to force Google to reveal who defamed her on the blog ‘Skanks in NYC’ as the ‘No.1 skanky superstar’.
“I can’t begin to imagine why someone would post these things then hide behind a screenname. I guess we’re going to have to find out,” The New York Daily News quoted her lawyer, Steven Wagner, as saying. As part of the defamation suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, the blonde beauty seeking a court order compelling Google and its Blogger.com subsidiary to identify the person who led the vicious Internet assault against her.
However, Wagner agreed that it’s quite difficult to identify bloggers who pitch insults anonymously, considering that New York courts have generally declined to unmask them.
“We think we have a case. This is libelous, it’s defamatory and you shouldn’t just get away with this,” he said. On the site, Cohen, 36, is referred to as a desperate “40-something” who “may have been hot 10 years ago. Desperation seeps from her soul, if she even has one.”
According to the suit, Cohen came to know of the blog via two people after hearing about it from modeling clients, who “were concerned about Cohen’s image and its relationship to the client’s products.”
“She’s quite upset,” said Wagner.

An out-of-control Sophie Anderton was arrested last night after allegedly threatening to kill herself in front of former boyfriend, property developer Ed Buxton.
Sophie turned up at the tycoon’s apartment at 2am demanding to see him.
After he refused to let her in, in her highly emotional state, she reportedly screamed: ‘I’ll kill myself if you won’t take me back.’
When Buxton and his doorman tried and failed to calm her down, the property developer was forced to call 999.
Ed split from Sophie last week, after Sophie flirted with Danio Domingues, a doorman from Chelsea nightclub Kitts.
Buxton’s wealthy neighbours in Parsons Green, west London, rushed to help after hearing Sophie’s screams in the lobby.
A resident told the Sun: ‘She kept shouting, ‘”I’ll kill myself if you won’t take me back.” She said she didn’t want to live without him.
‘She was scratching at her wrists and saying, “I could do it, who would care? Nobody cares’.
‘Ed kept saying they’d talk things over but she kept wrestling with him and screaming.’
Paramedics were also called to deal with Sophie, but she allegedly resisted treatment when they arrived, before police arrested her for disorderly conduct.
The Mail On Sunday’s Katie Nicholl wrote this weekend: ‘It’s all over and Sophie’s in a very bad state at the moment,’ I’m told.
But friends of the former supermodel, who has battled drink and drug addictions, and recently finished a long spell in rehab after being exposed as a call girl, insist that the break-up had nothing to do with Danio.
‘Sophie told me she was single,’ said Danio.
‘She was really hitting on me.
‘She gave me her number but, when I called, Ed answered wanting to know who I was.’

Kate Moss recently came under scrutiny after arriving to board a transatlantic flight sans make-up, revealing in the process the signs of her ageing model face.
But this time, although she opted for some make-up and huge sunglasses, the model revealed another area which betrayed the signs of ageing – her crepey-looking chest.
Just last week her iconic, youthful face looked wrinkled and worn as she arrived at LAX airport.
After stepping off her long haul flight from London, the supermodel’s skin was looking blotchy and every inch her 34 years.
But as the star stepped off her 11 hour flight at LAX airport on Friday, it was startlingly clear the plane had left her skin in an even worse state.
Meanwhile, it seems like her romantic getaway with boyfriend Jamie who accompanied her to Los Angeles didn’t quite go to plan.
Kate and Jamie’s hotel Chateau Marmont hotel became the setting for one of their characteristic rows.
A source told the Mirror: ‘A crowd had gathered in the hotel lobby to watch TV screens showing the US election results and there was a lot of excitement about Barack Obama’s victory.
‘Someone said they had heard shouting coming from Kate’s suite. Then Kate suddenly appeared. She had a face like thunder and stormed through the lobby to the bar, downed several drinks and left to get a car.
‘As she left the hotel she was heard yelling into her phone at Jamie for him to stay away from her.’

Friends of Kate Moss have speculated that she will soon have a baby with her boyfriend Jamie Hince.
The supermodel has travelled to Ibiza for a summer break with Jamie following their recent reunion, and they are expected to discuss children during their time away. Kate’s five-year-old daughter Lila Grace has joined them on the trip, along with Lila’s nanny.
“Kate is keen to have another baby before Lila Grace gets any older. She doesn’t want her to grow up a single child,” one pal told The Mirror. “Lila even calls Sadie Frost’s little girl Iris her sister because she wants one so much, which has made Kate feel guilty. But it has become a real sticking point between her and Jamie.
“She thinks he will be a great dad – but he has been unsure whether he’s ready for such a huge commitment.”
The newspaper claims that the couple’s recent split was caused by their differing attitudes towards children, however Jamie is now believed to be coming round to the idea of starting a family.
“He agreed to go to Ibiza with her for a break before he goes on tour to see how they get on,” the source added. “No one would be surprised if Kate comes back pregnant.”

Kate Moss has been getting jealous texts from her boyfriend while on holiday in Sardinia.
Kate, 34, is said to be “deliberately” flirting with handsome men to make her Kills star lover Jamie Hince – who didn’t join her on the yachting holiday after they had a row – jealous.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “Kate deliberately, and in full view of the photographers, chatted to a range of good looking male guests, friends of her pals Davinia Taylor and her husband Dave Gardner, who hosted the trip.”
Among the texts, one written by Jamie, 39, is believed to have said: “Who’s that hunk on the yacht you’re gazing at?”
Kate’s friend insists the supermodel has no intention of acting on her flirtations, saying: “Kate spent a lot of time on the yacht testing Jamie but refused to pick up the phone to him. That was her way of letting him sweat and making sure he really appreciates her.”
Kate is expected to holiday in Thailand with Jamie later this year.
Earlier this month, it was reported Kate’s ex-boyfriend, troubled rocker Pete Doherty, had been trying to win her back. He has apparently sent her a string of text messages, on the year anniversary of their original split.
It has also been rumoured he will turn the ashes of his recently deceased cat Shelley into a ring to present to Kate in a bid to rekindle their relationship.

Model Kate Moss wants to replace being a model with being a full-time designer, as she feels her mind has outgrown the catwalk, WENN reports.
Moss, who began modeling at the ripe young age of 14 – when she was discovered by an agency in the UK – feels it’s time for something new. After all, at the age of 34, she has spent 20 years in the industry, and now feels it has started to limit her.
The model has gotten into business and designing in recent years and wants to prove herself as a capable force, with a line at Britain’s TopShop.
“All that dressing up makes me say, ‘What do I want to wear? What do I want to do with (my retail line at) TopShop?’ It all kind of leads into the other things.”
With her mind focusing on other things, Moss has also called modeling “brain damaging.”

Late night texting sessions between Kate Moss and Pete Doherty have fueled rumours that Kate’s relationship with Jamie Hince is on the rocks. Over the past week the two have re-established contact and Pete is now convinced that they can rekindle their love. Meanwhile, Jamie is fuming.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “Jamie was furious when Pete got in touch about a week ago, and over the past three nights he and Kate have texted each other until the early hours. Pete’s been showing the texts to his friends and thinks he’s on the verge of winning her back but his friends aren’t convinced.”
On hearing about Kate’s rumoured split Pete offered his condolences, going on to tell her how much he misses her and thinks that they are perfect together. The pair separated last June following claims that Pete had cheated on Kate with a South African model.
Kate and Jamie reportedly got into an argument on Saturday (5 July 08) and Jamie is now in the process of moving out of Kate’s North London home.
According to a source, the argument began over a girl: “Kate made some comment about a girl who had been hanging around Jamie and it deteriorated from there. Just hours later, Jamie was packing his things and moving stuff out of her house. By the afternoon, most of it was gone.”
The couple have not spoken since the row, Jamie has reportedly told friends that the split is not permanent, rather a chance for Kate to calm down.

Heather Arrick, who went by the name “Heather Stohler” in her professional life, was killed Sunday morning after a fire swept through the upstairs apartment she shared with her boyfriend.
Arrick, 29, grew up in Frankton before moving to Florida. She went on to a modeling career that took her to the runways of Europe, got her into photo shoots with Kate Moss for Calvin Klein and landed her on the cover of major fashion magazines.
“I’ve known her since I was 12,” said Travis May, 30, who met Arrick while both were attending Frankton Junior High School. “She was great, very thoughtful. She never forgot the little things, like your birthday.”
The Vincennes Fire Department was notified at 8:48 a.m. Sunday of a fire at 604 Broadway St. by another tenant of the building.
“Upon arrival, flames were visible,” Vincennes Fire Chief Mike Lankford told the Sun-Commercial. “About three-fourths of the apartment was a total loss, and the estimated damage amount is over $15,000.”
Arrick and her live-in boyfriend, 26-year-old Daniel Risley, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Risley was transferred to Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, but was pronounced dead around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Lankford said Risley suffered burns over a “substantial” portion of his body.
Knox County Coroner Dan Halter told fire officials Arrick died of smoke inhalation. Fire officials ruled the fire that consumed the apartment was accidental, but no exact cause has been released.
Arrick was born Nov. 29, 1978. May said she was raised by her adoptive parents, Ron and Jackie Arrick, in Frankton. After graduating from Frankton High School, she moved to Riverview, Fla., to join her biological mother, Angela Edwards.
It was in Florida that Arrick discovered her modeling potential.
“It was one of those modeling things at the local mall,” May said. “She tried out, and she was just a natural, so she ran with it.”
Arrick had the kind of strong bone structure models are known for, yet possessed a softness in her face. She had deep-set eyes that convey a sense of mystery in many of her photos. At 5-feet-9, she was ideal for modeling.
She joined the Elite Model Management and Ford Models agencies and was later represented by Donald Trump Management. Arrick modeled clothing for Calvin Klein, appeared in ads with Kate Moss and graced the cover of Marie Claire’s German edition and Vogue’s Italian edition.
“She was a model for close to 10 years,” May said. “She was on the cover of Vogue nine times. She did shows in Paris, Milan, New York. She lived in London for five years and had an apartment in Manhattan for four or five years.”
May said he spoke to Arrick by phone less than a year ago, at which time she was living in Florida. Tim Allen, Arrick’s cousin, told the Sun-Commercial that Arrick left the modeling world a few years ago and speculated that Risley had family in the Vincennes area, though none has come forward.

An Australian magazine is being investigated after photographing a 16-year-old girl topless in two fashion shoots.
Russh Australia, a lifestyle and fashion magazine, hired Zippora Seven for a provocative 18-page editorial fashion spread alongside 16-year-old male model Levi Clarke.
Shot in March, one of the images depicts the pair sharing a bubble bath nude with Seven topless and Clarke’s eyes closed as if he is passed out.
In the foreground are four bottles of champagne.
The Classifications Act prohibits the depiction of nudity and sexual activity of minors under 18.
A spokesperson for the Australian Classification Board said: “I can advise that the board has contacted the publisher of Russh Australia.”
Seven’s Australian agent, Priscilla Leighton-Clark, said the photo shoot had gone too far.
“It’s wrong that our girl has appeared in a magazine exposing her breasts when she’s so young,” Ms Leighton-Clark said.
Russh editor Natalie Shukur defended the Seven shoot, which was inspired by supermodel Kate Moss and actor Johnny Depp when they dated.
“We believe Russh readers ‘get it’ in this narrative story,” she said.
“These are beautiful images of two young people in character.”
Russh is marketed towards fashion-minded 18 to 35-year-olds with almost equal readership of males and females.
In a brief interview with Seven, the magazine asked, “When and where was your first kiss?”
“My first lick was in the bubble bath with Levi,” she answered.
Seven lives in Auckland, New Zealand, but is in demand in Australia and has been shot locally for Vogue and Oyster magazines.
It was her second shoot with Russh this year. She appeared in the March issue topless while riding a horse.
In NZ, Seven is represented by Red11 agency and her mother, Ursula, is heavily involved in her career.
In Australia, she is represented by Priscilla’s Model Management, an agency that has a long-standing reputation for being extremely protective of its models.
“I can’t be on every shoot,” Ms Leighton-Clark said. “Had I known it was to be a topless shoot, (Seven) would never have done it.”

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric is now dating Victoria’s Secret supermodel Adriana Lima.
Lima, a Brazilian native, is the star of the new Victoria’s Secret commercial that debuted on the Super Bowl. Marko Jaric plays basketball at NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves.
The day before her ad premiered last weekend, “Marko chartered a plane to be with her on her big day,” says a source to People Magazine. “He flew in Saturday and flew back early Sunday morning so he could be on time for practice.”
Lima has walked the catwalks of some of the world’s most renowned designers, such as Vera Wang, Christian Lacroix, Emanuel Ungaro, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Ralph Lauren, Valentino.
Lima has also graced the covers of Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue, GQ, to name a few. Her April 2006 GQ cover was the highest-selling issue of the year.
Adriana Lima is the fourth-highest paid model in the world as 2007. She is best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, where she was joined by Gisele Bundchen and Alessandra Ambrosio as the Brazilian “trinity” of models. Bundchen has since left Victoria’s Secret as an “angel”.
Along with Heidi Klum, Lima has been with Victoria’s Secret the longest (since 1999). She is joined by Ambrosio, Klum, Selita Ebanks, Isabel Goulart, Miranda Kerr, Karolina Kurkova and Marisa Miller as Victoria’s Secret models.
Marco Jaric, a Serbian native, is a 6-foot-7, 224-pound shooting guard for the Timberwolves. Jaric, 29, has played in the NBA for six years after being drafted in 2000. He is a member of the Serbian National Team and hails from Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
