Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief show


Yesterday Naomi Campbell held her Fashion For Relief show at the Forville Market in Cannes. The supermodel herself opened the show and modeled several designs by Yves Saint Laurent, Marchesa and Alexander McQueen throughout the show.

To team up the Fashion For Relief show with famous personalities, Naomi asked some stars from the entertainment and modeling world, who were in town for the Cannes Film Festival, to take part. And so supermodels like Karolina Kurkova, Ysmin Le Bon, Noemie Lenoir, Victoria Silvstedt walked over the red catwalk. Among the non-models taking part were Hollywood actress Zoe Saldana, Rosario Dawson, Barbara Becker, Robert De Niro’s wife Grace Hightower and British entertainer Bruce Forsyth.

The most excited moment was when Hollywood legend Jane Fonda walked down the runway, shortly before the show ended. The 73-year-old had stolen the one decade younger generation the show, when she amazed in a gold evening gown. After walking down the red catwalk in the Marchesa gown, she was joined by all the models, who wore fundraising T-shirts.

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana created limited edition T-shirts for Naomi’s event to boost the sales to help the Japan Red Cross.

The audience included celebrities like Ivana Trump, Roberto Cavalli and Kenneth Cole alongside Campbell’s mother Valerie.
