Gisele Bundchen: Business Mogul and top earning Supermodel
Gisele Bundchen may be a local headline in the fashion and modeling world, but the Supermodel even has Forbes talking now. She was recently named the world’s highest earning Supermodel once again for the 7th year in a row. Bundchen has her own stock index created by economist Fred Fuld that shows the performance of companies represented by her compared to the Dow Jones. Some of those companies include LVMH, Proctor & Gamble, Volkswagen, and News Corp. Gisele’s stock index has risen 39% since January 2008, while the Dow dropped 4%. For Bundchen to be doing better than the Dow gives us a world of insight into the empire that she has created. Modeling isn’t the only way she’s making money because Bundchen has made a powerful brand for herself, so powerful that she has even surpassed Kate Moss in earning more than any other model.
