Naomi Campbell honored by United Nations

Naomi Campbell doesn’t spend all of her time modeling, she also has a very charitable side to her. She was recenly honored by the United Nations at the Unesco charity gala that took place in Dusseldorf, Germany. Officials of the the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural organization honored Naomi along with actor Olivier Martinez, as well as Kathleen Turner, Clive Owen, Jet Li, and Shah Rukh Khan. Naomi was honored for her many Fashion for Relief fundraisers that she has done over the last few years to raise money for those affected in Haiti, and the tsunami in Japan. She was also recently honored in New York City at the Angel Ball to benefit Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation at Cipriani. A friend of Campbell’s, Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran also took to twitter to congratulate her on her charity efforts “Huzzah to Naomi Campbell on being honoured at the Unesco gala at the weekend for her charity work @fashion4relief The girl goes on and on.”
