Once upon a time, a 15-year-old South African girl scouted at a flea market raised up her modeling career with the grace of a swan. Borrowing white feathers from the mythical bird than fits her complicated named, Candice Swanepoel quickly conquered a spotlight in Victoria’s Secret army of beautiful angels, after trading her homeland for the chaotic and promising New York.
The camera loved her and her stunning physique. The lingerie market leaded her to a big success, which, in turn, provided her a millionaire bank account. But, there seems to be more on the wonder blue-eyed bikini-babe’s shore. And high fashion it is! The 23-year-old model has recently covered a few heavy-weight fashion magazines, advertised Versace and Tom Ford eyewear and has just landed a new campaign for Prabal Gurung. At last but not the least, she earned her spot at spring/ summer 2012 catwalk shows of Chanel, Stella McCartney, Fendi and Giambattista Valli.
Candice’s latest campaign for Prabal Gurung proves her style versatility. Completely transformed, she is presented as an elegant brunette whose sensual dark violet disguise is only compromised by her arresting sea-blue eyes.
Apparently modest, this new fashion queen wrote in her blog: “Most days I still wake up feeling like the 15-year-old girl from a South African farm town, simply overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey I am on”.
