Amber and Yasmin Le Bon, „Two Peas in a Pod?“

Amber and Yasmin Le Bon looked more like sisters than mother and daughter as they arrived at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in Berkeley Square, London last night. Both chose to wear white. Yasmin 47 wore a Grecian-style A-line maxi dress with a thigh-high split while 22 year-old daughter Amber chose a strapless mini dress. She completed her outfit with towering sky-blue platforms. It was hard to see the 25 year difference between the two of them. That says a lot for mother of three Yasmin Le Bon who has managed to preserve her looks throughout the years and who is still very much in demand.

They joined a host of other big-name stars as Tinseltown converged on London for the awards show. It is one of the biggest events on the UK showbiz calendar filled with dazzle as the glamour ladies of showbiz, both locally and from across the pond make a yearly pilgrimage to Mayfair London to show off their glamourous selves and the fashion conscious look on from around the world to catch a glimpse of the latest fashions.

This year was no different and the lookers-on were not disappointed. Lea Michele led the Hollywood glitz as she appeared on the red carpet in a sensational dark blue off-the-shoulder Zac Posen mermaid gown. Lea was joined by actress Jessica Alba, who won the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” wooed the crowd with her dazzling smile and showed off her sexy form in a long black Alexander McQueen gown showing lots of cleavage. The gown was embellised with lace and chiffon and she wore her hair in a neat chignon giving everyone a view of her perfect face. Kelly Rowland who won the “Personality of the Year Award,” looked sensational in a flowing black Maria Grachvogel dress decorated with a big white feather pattern. And Eva Longoria decided to drape her petite form in an orange Victoria Beckham dress instead of the glamourous numbers she always wears. And “less is more” did not take away from her glam factor as she sizzled on the red-carpet.

Coming back to Amber and Yasmin Le Bon. Out of her three daughters, Amber is the one who most resembles her mother. Married to Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon, the couple have three daughters Tallulah 14, Saffron 17 and Amber 19. Yasmin first made her mark as a model in the 1980s and her marriage to Simon has lasted a whopping 25 years. That says a lot in the fashion industry where marriages are a dime a dozen. In a recent interview with Easy Living Magazine, Yasmin said that even after three decades she still thinks Simon is “the best-looking guy in the room.”

Well then folks, don´t you think that she deserves an award for that?
