Heidi Klum and Seal working “the split.”
The power couple shocked the celebrity world with news of their split earlier this year after seven years of wedded bliss. They were seen as one of the most romantic couples in Hollywood, deeply in love and renewed their wedding vows each year on their wedding anniversary. Now it is over. Divorce proceedings are officially underway. The couple have announced plans for a cordial split.
The singer and model mama have four children, Leni, Henry, Johan and Lou. Leni’s biological father is Formula One tycoon Flavio Briatore but Seal legally adopted Leni in 2009. Life for the children is different now. Once a happy family with lots of time spent with mom Heidi and dad Seal, the children have to split their time between the two hard-working couple.
Seal is currently in Australia working as a judge on the Australian version of The Voice and Heidi is in New York working as host and judge on Project Runway. So, what to do if they want time with the children? The children have to be flown to where they are. Which is exactly what happened. The children were flown Down-Under to spend some quality time with their father recently. They were spotted at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo having a good time with their loving dad, then it was time to hop on a plane to meet mom Heidi in New York to spend some time with her.
Heidi has asked for joint legal custody and wants primary physical custody but Seal has requested joint physical custody which would mean that the children would divide their living time between the two parents.
The marriage is officially un-Sealed and the children are in the spotlight of massive media coverage and that is painful in itself. Let’s hope this doesn’t turn ugly for the sake of the children.
