Rihanna wants to “rock” the fashion scene

Pop queen Rihanna, who has until now taken to the stage and sizzled and rocked us with her moves and voice, has taken on a new challenge.

The singer, 23, will produce the new Sky Living series, “Styled to Rock.” Based on the lines of “Project Runway” the new series will have a different twist. Twelve unknown designers will be selected by Rihanna to create outfits for A-list music artists. The focus of the series will be to show the world the influence popstars have on mainstream fashion trends. Keeping this theme in mind, the designers will get an opportunity to work with a different superstar each week and to dress them for different occasions including stage appearance, photoshoots, high-profile events and so on. And that is a big deal folks.

It is rumored that the pop princess will not appear on every episode but her talented team consisting of stylist Lysa Cooper, designer Henry Holland and “Girls Aloud” star Nicola Roberts will be on hand to take the helm in her absence.

The singer is on the lookout for the next “fashion sensation” and she revealed, “I’ve always loved fashion. Fashion has helped shape me into the artist I am today.”

The “Styled to Rock” series will air on Sky Living sometime in August and if Rihanna’s fashion sense on stage is anything to go by, we are sure it will be a case of, “less is more,” eye-popping and out of this world. So be prepared to be “rocked.”
