Cara Delevingne is Chanel’s leading lady

Not only did Cara Delevingne open the the Chanel Spring/Summer 2014 Haute Couture show earlier this week in Paris, the British model also closed the spectacle in a head-turning crystal-embellished sheer white bridal-style gown, complete with a feathered headdress.

Putting aside the usual high-heel couture stilletos, the models at the Chanel show wore jewel-encrusted tennis shoes instead. Wearing her hair in an wacky style which resembled a birds nest, Delevingne’s opening look was a classic white tweed ensemble.

At the event’s finale, the thick-browed London-native was accompanied down the stairs by mini-model Hudson Kroenig, Karl Lagerfeld’s 6 year-old godson, and son of male model Brad Kroenig, who had the responsibility of holding the model’s gown’s train while dressed in a matching gem-studded suit himself.

On a side note, Cara Delevingne, who is the current face of British fashion label Mulberry, playfully had little Kroenig tell his godfather “you’re fired,” a la Donald Trump.
