Gisele Bundchen is the new face of Chanel No. 5 fragrance

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has been unveiled as the new face who will have the pleasure to grace the No. 5 fragrance by Chanel, considered one of the most iconic and seductive scents of all time.

The thirty-three year-old mannequin reportedly began shooting the campaign for the perfume a few days ago in the Hamptons’ town of Sagaponack, New York. According to WWD, the noted Australian director Baz Luhrmann, who also did Nicole Kidman’s advertisement for Chanel No. 5 back in 2004, is in charge of filming the statuesque mother-of-two as she takes over from Hollywood film star Brad Pitt to front the high-end brand’s new campaign, which will be launched at the end of the year.

Bundchen, who like Luhrmann is no stranger to working with the Parisian fashion house, was chosen for her “natural beauty and modern femininity,” according to a Chanel spokesperson. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel has previously scored a beauty campaign for Chanel’s Les Beiges line of cosmetics.
