Dutch model Roosmarijn de Kok appeared in court recently after being arrested for shoplifting fish oil and three chocolate bars from Whole Foods in Tribeca. The Manhattan Criminal Court charged the 19-year-old with “petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree,”

The 19 year old who is signed with Wilhelmina Models has covered the likes of Vogue Thailand, and has shot for Urban Outfitters.

At her appearance in court she wore a black lacy leg-bearing dress and pumps. De Kok was scolded by the judge for folding her arms and was asked to stand properly. “Before we proceed, please tell your client to unfold her arms,” the judge said.

In her defense the top model insisted she forgot the items were in her bag and tried to give them back before leaving the store. She was offered a conditional dismissal, but turned it down to argue for a full dismissal, claiming she’s not guilty of shoplifting. Her case has been adjourned to Sept. 25 for future arguments.

After the proceedings at the court De Kok seemed unnerved by the turn of events and spoke of looking forward to the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, which begins Sept. 4. “I’m doing fashion week soon,” she said
