Gigi Hadid reaveals she is the new face of Maybelline New York
Last year saw Gigi Hadid become one of the fashion industry’s rising stars, and it seems the California girl’s modeling career will soar to new heights this 2015, as the new face of American cosmetics giant Maybelline New York.
The nineteen year-old beauty, who not long ago let us in on how she maintains in tip top shape through boxing, took to social media on Tuesday (January 13th) and disclosed the thrilling news via a brief black and white clip. “I’VE GOT A VERY SPECIAL EXCITING AMAZING ANNOUNCEMENT,” the statuesque bonde announced to her one and a half million Instagram followers. “And you only have to wait 15 seconds to find out if you press play!”
Shortly after, Hadid shared a snapshot of the first photoshoot she took part in for the makeup brand. “I’m so beyond honored & excited (at a loss for words, really) to be the new face of @Maybelline! 💘,” she captioned the behind-the-scenes image. “Thank you so much to my team at @imgmodels @luizmattos1906 for believing in me and helping make this happen, and to the whole #MaybellineNewYork team for being so welcoming; it’s such a dream come true to be a part of this family.💄”
