Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz graces the September 2015 cover of Vogue Spain in a special edition dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer.

Known for her long tresses the 41 year old, mother of two sports a pixie haircut (a wig) that is in sync with her character in the movie “Ma Ma” by Julio Medem, whose central theme is cancer. Photographed by Nico, the iconic actress flaunts her ageless body sporting a pink fur dress while the cover carries a large pink bow (symbolic of the cause for breast cancer awareness).

In her interview with the glossy Cruz discusses her role in the movie. In order to play the part of ‘Magda’ a gutsy mother who battles to overcome tragedy, Cruz revelead that she relied on experts and women who have suffered the illness. “Ma Ma” also marks Cruz’s first film with Julio Medem, who has directed some of the most sensorial portrayals of feminine sensibility in modern Spanish cinema.

The issue is a special edition not just because it turns pink (#VogueGoesPink) but is also significant as it is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. The magazine will donate 0.50 euros from the sale of each copy to the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
