Israeli Supermodel Bar Refaeli and her mom were arrested in Israel for allegedly evading taxes.

Refaeli 30, was arrested and questioned after a home raid Wednesday for allegedly evading taxes on millions of dollars of income from abroad by lying about her residency, Israeli authorities said Thursday. She is also suspected of receiving benefits of ‘over a million shekels’ ($257,000 U.S.) in the form of free accommodation in luxury apartments (registered in her mother and brother’s names) which she did not report, as well as a free Range Rover and Lexus for her use in return for her being photographed in the cars, without the vehicles being registered under her name, Israel’s Tax Authority said in a statement.

Refaeli’s mother Zipora, was also arrested on suspicion of evading taxes on ‘dozens of millions of shekels’ worth of income from abroad. Both women reportedly had their passports confiscated and received a 180-day ban on leaving Israel without authorities’ permission.

Refaeli who wed Israeli billionaire Adi Ezra in September, has denied the allegations, reports the BBC. ‘There is no drama. In the end, this is just a civil dispute,’ her lawyer reportedly told the Israeli news site NRG. ‘No one cheated anyone else. It will all clear up soon.’
