Iman Recalls David Bowie’s Greatest Moments on Instagram
Mourning the loss of husband, David Bowie, Iman took to Instagram with a series of posts, reminiscing his legendary career in the days leading up to his death.
On Saturday, January 9, one day before the legendary artist succumbed to a secret battle with cancer, Iman, 60, shared a moving quote via Instagram, ‘Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory,’she captioned the image.
While the latest one she posted the day he died, which reads: ‘The struggle is real, but so is God.’
Bowie passed away at the age of 69 on Sunday night. The former supermodel and Bowie were married for 24 years and have one daughter together, Alexandria Zahra, 15. Iman is also step-mother to Duncan Jones, 44, Bowie’s son with ex-wife Angie Barnett.
Iman has not spoken publicly since Bowie’s passing was announced, however the couple’s longtime friend Bethann Hardison told PEOPLE exclusively, ‘[Iman]’s fine. We’re fine. We’re holding up. It comes in waves, you know. He’s a great loss – not just a loss as an artist, but as a human.’
