Raf Simons named Chief Creative Officer at Calvin Klein

It is official: Raf Simons is Chief Creative Officer of Calvin Klein.

After weeks and months of rumors, that the Belgian designer would replace fill the position of Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli who departed the brand in April, Calvin Klein officially confirmed the news. According to Calvin Klein, Simons will lead the creative strategy of the brand globally, across the Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein Platinum, Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear and Calvin Klein Home brands. As part of his role as Chief Creative Officer, Mr. Simons will oversee all aspects of Design, Global Marketing and Communications, and Visual Creative Services.

Simons who stepped down from his creative director role at Dior in October 2015, had been under a year long non-compete agreement with the brand due to which Calvin Klein were unable to make any announcement. His debut collection for Calvin Klein is eagerly awaited and will be first seen in autumn/winter ’16/’17.
