Each week, we take the time to highlight one of our favorite emerging models. Previously, we profiled German beauty Inga Reska and this week we’re turning our attention to Sabine Glud.

A confident and dynamic presence she represents a wave of new Danish talent and has been steadily risen through the ranks. With her poise, effortless beauty and ethereal sensibility, she breathes new life into the idea of Danish girl chic. Sabine has proved that she’s ready to make an impact.

We caught up with her to talk about her career so far, her passion for modeling and her plans for the future.

Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
I’ve never really thought about being a model before I was scouted. I have always loved to study and learn and I’ve always thought about going to law school, but I’m still not sure what I am aiming for. Right now I’m not in a rush since I’m really enjoying what I’m doing, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes me.

How were you scouted?
I was scouted at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

How would you describe yourself as a model in three words?
During a shoot, I would describe myself as energetic, spontaneous and listening. I listen and observe because I’m always trying to figure out what the photographer, the stylist, the hair/make-up artist, etc. needs from me since it is important to me that everyone is happy with the results.

Your first modeling job?
My very first job was a show for a Danish design school, which was a very fun way to meet some other models and have a little taste of what walking a catwalk is like. My first photoshoot was for a Danish magazine and I actually ended up being on the cover! It felt a little crazy since I wasn’t used to seeing myself in those kind of pictures – and definitely not on the cover of a magazine!

What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
I love that it takes me around the world and gets me to meet a lot of different people. And I love the feeling on set when everyone is working together and excited about the project.

What’s been your biggest OMG moment to date?
When I turned on my phone after a long flight and was pretty sleepy until I received an email from my booker saying that I was confirmed for a job in Vietnam. It was an amazing experience and my first time going to Asia.

Biggest lesson that modeling has taught you?
It has definitely taught me that there is no point in worrying cause things usually turn out just the way they should. I like planning and keeping things under control and since it’s difficult to do as a model, I feel like I’m getting better at just going with it.

What’s the best life advice you’ve ever received?
I cannot pick between “Worry less, everything is going to be fine” and “You do you”.

How do you stay in shape?
I eat healthy most days and stay active – not only by working out but also as an everyday thing – walking to work, taking the stairs and so on.

What do you think about fashion? What does it mean to you?
I think it’s a nice way to express yourself and I like how wearing a nice outfit makes you feel. Modeling has definitely made me more interested in fashion and photography. Before working as a model I never really looked that much into magazines and all that kind of stuff.

How would you describe your style?
Simple and pretty casual. I like to feel comfortable in my clothes.

Denim or leather?
Denim – I love a nice pair of denim jeans.

Heels or flats?
Flats!

What is your guilty pleasure?
That must be Danish pastry – I love all of it.

When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
I love spending time with my friends, exploring a new city or reading a nice book.

What are you working on now and what do you dream of happening in the future?
Right now I’m focusing on modeling and seeing where it takes me.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
I’m really not sure. At the moment I’m still figuring everything out and doing it one day at a time.
