Sandro launches Solidarity T-shirt to raise money for the Red Cross

Sandro is the latest brand to join the Fashion industry’s fight against the spread of the Coronavirus.

The Parisian ready-to-wear label Sandro has designed a Solidarity T-shirt featuring the message “Stand together” and “Stronger together”, respectively for women and men. The design of the women’s T-shirt was chosen by a majority of the Instagram community of the brand. The message conveyed by the T-shirt encourages support and solidarity. The T-shirt is priced at 65 euros with proceeds from the sale of which will be 100% donated to the Red Cross international.

‘Today more than ever we have faith in the strength of the collective effort because only together can we overcome this hardship. Every act, every action counts, sometimes even the simple stones,’ Evelyne Chetrite, Founder and Artistic Director of Sandro said in a statement.

In addition to the T-shirt, Sandro will make 10,000 face masks (with excess fabric stock from previous collections) for non-medical workers in hospitals. It will also offer breakfast every Friday to hospital staff in the areas most affected by the outbreak. In this way, Sando aims to contribute to the well-being of the men and women who are on the front lines of the Coronavirus pandemic despite facing a 20 percent drop in sales.
