Patou makes India debut with Galeries Lafayette in Mumbai

LVMH owned French Fashion house Patou has made its official debut in Mumbai India along concurrently with French department store chain Galeries Lafayette.

Located in Mumbai’s premiere art district and cultural hub, Kala Ghoda (a prominent a precinct for luxury and designer labels), the store is housed within two restored heritage buildings: the 200-year-old Turner Morrison and Voltas House.

Celebrating a cultural exchange between two worlds of contemporary femininity: Paris and Mumbai, the interiors of the store reflects Patou’s signature style aesthetic through its hallmark materials- soft pink walls and furniture in recycled wood.

Continuing to celebrate women who value individuality and timeless elegance, the store offers Indian audiences an introduction to Patou’s universe through a selection of ready-to-wear, accessories, and signature pieces. Each garment is designed with love and care in Paris and resonates with the expressive spirit of the modern Indian woman.

Patou’s market entry in India is part of a larger strategic local retail partnership with Indian multinational conglomerate Aditya Birla Group. The collaboration aims to leverage the significant growth projected for the Indian luxury market by allowing international brands to access the Indian market through a well-established retail space and distribution network. A second Galeries Lafayette store (which will house Patou) is expected to open in New Delhi at DLF Emporio in 2026.
