H&M unveils its Highly Anticipated Stella McCartney Collection

Swedish fashion giant H&M has unveiled its entire upcoming collection with acclaimed designer and campaigner Stella McCartney.

Releasing 21 years after H&M’s first partnership with McCartney in November 2005, the new collection builds on that legacy. It reflects on the highlights of the house’s 25-year history, bottling McCartney’s pioneering and rule-breaking vision into a range of apparel and accessories

Uniting past and present, blending iconic design and innovative ideas collaborative collection is defined by an approach that prioritizes recycled content, organic cottons, wool certified to the RWS Standard and innovative usage of feedstock for coated materials, such as industrial corn and recycled vegetable oil.

Key items in the Stella McCartney x H&M collection include:
– oversized shirts and relaxed fit trousers, sweeping trenches, oversized T-shirts, and hoodies
– playful iconic hits from McCartney’s early archive, including bejewelled prints and slogan tops
– rib knitted dresses and tops with McCartney’s signature Falabella chain at the neck
– embellished bodysuit, mini dress and bra, each adorned with glass beads made from 80 percent recycled glass
– a long white gown with a cape-like sleeve that loops into the hem, giving the look of a sweeping circle of fabric
– a red chiffon mini dress, a one shoulder dress made in a recycled material from garment collecting and leftovers/scraps from textile production
– sparkling partywear, separates and denims, as well as mesh dresses and tops in a bold archival cherry-print
– a white mini tee embellished with studs reading ‘Rock Royalty’

Accessories include:
– small, branded shoulder bags, giant totes in organic cotton featuring the Stella McCartney logo
– a timeless chocolate-toned bag with a Falabella chain-detail strap,
– two-tone chunky chain necklace with matching bracelet and statement earrings crafted in recycled metal
– printed scarves in silk and cotton/silk
– loafers with chain detailing on the front

‘I see this collection as a journey through my fashion history. It is a true mix of current classics and some of my old favourites that showcase my first forays into fashion and the development of my signatures. It’s playful, strong, sparkling, joyful, refined,’ stated Stella McCartney in a press release.

‘Stella has always had a bold vision for fashion, and this collection tracks her journey from a young, rule-breaking voice to a master of timeless design. Every single piece in the collection is desirable and tells a unique and bold story,’ creative advisor and head of design womenswear at H&M Ann-Sofie Johansson, added.

The collection is brought to life with a campaign shot by Sam Rock in London, starring actress-singer Renee Rapp alongside models Angelina Kendall and Adwoa Aboah. Striking a balance between nostalgic reverence and forward-thinking modernity, it captures a mood that is simultaneously playful and effortless. Central to the narrative is the collaborative tagline, ‘& Stella’ reimagined throughout the campaign in various expressions-such as ‘Here Now &’ and ‘Me And You’ highlighting deep connection and timeless care.
