H&M Atelier unveils Autumn/Winter 2026 Collection at London Fashion Week
Swedish fashion giant H&M has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection for it’s capsule menswear line H&M Atelier during H&M’s runway show at London Fashion Week on 17 September.
Inspired by pop-cultural references from 1990s Japanese action movies and poetic/atmospheric imagery from contemporary art and photography, the collection offers Workwear-inspired looks with a cinematic stillness and the sartorial sensibility of the 1980s and ’90s.
Key Features from the H&M Atelier Pre-fall 2026 Collection:
The Tailoring & Silhouettes: thriving on the tension between aggressive proportion play, exaggerated tailoring, and poetic minimalism, Silhouettes lean directional, sporting sculpted shoulders, elongated cuts, and hyper-specific material choices.
The Looks: Utility meets heritage with structured blouson and flight jackets, sitting alongside retro ombre striped and shadow-checked shirts and highly textural knits. While late-90s-inspired single-breasted, three-button blazers paired alongside straight-lined trousers and looser pants are engineered to pool at the ankles.
Materials: Grounded firmly in sartorial legacy, the collection utilizes premium cashmere, wool, dry-feel cotton jersey, crinkled nylon, and dry wool. Wardrobe staples are elevated via reworked denim in seasonal blends, pinstripe and herringbone wool blends, and opulent viscose and nylon twill.
The Moodboard Color Palette: Deep, atmospheric tones set the seasonal mood, heavily featuring all-black, dark brown, steel grey, burnt red, and muted orange.
‘Autumn/Winter 2026 is about proportion and restraint, but rich with texture and warmth. We wanted a wardrobe that moves between eras – archival tailoring next to something more utilitarian – so structure and softness can sit side by side,’ stated Ana Hernandez, H&M Atelier Design Lead.
