Happy 23rd Birthday Kate Upton
America’s Favorite Blonde Bombshell Kate Upton turns 23 today.
As one of the worlds well known models she is perhaps most famous for her appearances in Sports Illustrated magazine thanks to which her fame sky-rocketed. Since then she has been the subject of various fashion pieces having appeared several times over on international magazine covers including GQ, Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Cosmopolitan and French Elle. The cameras have loved her and in a short few years she has worked with A-list photographers Bruce Weber, Steven Meisel, and Terry Richardson, among others. Her Vogue cover shot by Mario Testino titled American Dream Girl: How Kate Upton Become The Hottest Girl On Earth drew even greater public attention. Kate Upton became the 4th most searched keyword term on Google in 2012.
However Upton is more than just a pretty face and a sexy body. She became the face of Guess and the feet of Sam Edelman early on. In 2014 she topped Forbes’ top ten list of highest paid models for the first time ever, tied for third place. She recently became the spokesperson for Bobbi Brown, was the face of Express for their Spring/Summer 2015 spread and starred in Game Of War’s new mobile game, featuring in their high budget trailers for which she earned $40m.
With an impressive 1.9 million followers on Twitter and Instagram respectively she has also made the leap into acting. She had a cameo in Brett Ratner’s Tower Heist and played a sultry nun with a heart of gold in the Farrelly brothers’ The Three Stooges, later landing her biggest role alongside Cameron Diaz in the movie The Other Woman last year. While she is currently filming the romantic comedy “The Layover” she is rumored to be on the shortlist for a leading female role in the planned Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
From her start in 2008, at the age of 15, when she signed with Elite Model Management to her venture into the high-fashion arena, the future certainly holds no shortage of opportunities for Upton.
