Gisele’s $700 book sells out

Gisele Bundchen‘s highly-anticipated $700 limited edition coffee table book of 1,000 copies has sold out a day before it even hit shelves.

The supermodel took to her Instagram account to thank her fans, “Gratitude for all the love I received from everyone at the launch of my book today, Thank you for being there for me at this very special moment” she wrote. According to publisher Taschen, the book was sold out on thursday (a day before it hit bookshelves), thanks to pre-orders.

The book celebrates her 20-year milestone in the industry with a unique and spectacular collection of jaw-dropping glamour and intimate, personal insights. With more than 300 photographs and is personally curated and designed by Gisele in collaboration with Giovanni Bianco. From her legendary nude portrait by Irving Penn, chosen as the book’s cover, to iconic shots from such industry luminaries as David LaChapelle, Juergen Teller, Inez & Vinoodh, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott and Corinne Day, it is a unique artistic presentation of the most famous Brazilian export together with Pele and Senna and the highest-earning model in the world. The breathtaking image collection is accompanied by tributes from Gisele’s closest friends, family, and fashion leaders, who shed light on how and why she has become one of the greatest models of all time.

The book will also be available in November as Collector’s Edition (No. 101-1,000), and also in an Art Edition of 100 copies (No. 1-100 with a print signed by Juergen Teller). A standard edition of the book will also be released simultaneously with the Collector’s Edition in Brazil in Portuguese.

Gisele will be donating all her proceeds from the book to charity.
