H&M launches new designer collaboration with Wardrobe NYC

Swedish fashion giant H&M has launched a new designer collaboration with New York-based luxury essentials label Wardrobe NYC during Haute Couture fashion week in Paris.
Founded by editor and stylist Christine Centenera and designer Josh Goot, Wardrobe NYC is knonw for its archetypal urban style of directional and effortlessly wearable designs.
Translating it’s defining vision, the collection comprises of a single, definitive wardrobe of wool coats, blazers, tailored skirts, washed denim, padded bombers, hoodies, and fluid drawstring pants in a timeless palette. With an emphasis on refined materials – wool and fine wool blends, organic cotton and jersey, and recycled technical fabrics, it features a strong and sophisticated silhouette with careful attention to finish and detail.
‘What makes this collaboration unique in our history is that essentials are usually one element of a collection – here, they are the proposition. Every piece is built around versatility and timelessness, and that level of singular focus felt genuinely new for us. Sharp considered basics as a complete wardrobe: that’s not something we’ve explored before. The way every shape is so well considered – you can really feel how it will be to wear one of these garments just by looking at it. These are pieces that will be in your wardrobe for a long time,’ stated Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor and Head of Design Womenswear H&M.
‘This collection distills our signatures, and expresses our philosophy of modern urban dress. Paris felt like the right place to share this moment with many of the people who have been part of our journey since the beginning,. What we wanted, above all, was for all these pieces to become staples. You’re building the base of a wardrobe and mixing it back in with things you already own and with pieces from the collection itself. That versatility was always the goal,’ stated Wardrobe NYC Founder Centenera.
‘We wanted to create a capsule for H&M that was true to the wardrobe concept: A timeless and honest statement that was both essential and of the moment. This approach comes from our personal philosophy of dress – this approach has always been a vital part of Wardrobe NYC, and you can feel it in the H&M collaboration,’ added Wardrobe NYC designer Josh Goot.
The H&M x Wardrobe NYC collection will launch in select stores and online at hm.com on 6 August 2026.
