“Rosie for Autograph” vintage-inspired lingerie collection goes on sale today

Supermodel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s much talked about lingerie collection goes on sale at all M&S stores today.

The model has stressed that this is not just a collection that she put her name blindly to but that the 33 vintage-inspired designs have her personal touch stamped on each piece. She says that the starting point for the collection of slips, bras, knickers and the sleepwear was the rose motif. “The soft, muted colours were inspired by English gardens and the lace is based upon an antique rose pattern.” Well that’s a good starting point as roses have always been paired with romance.

The Victoria’s Secret angel said that her love for vintage lingerie started at an early age. “I’ve been collecting vintage lingerie, in particular silk kimonos since I was 16.….I really love Art Deco styles from the 20s and 30s – the 30s is my favourite era.” And it looks like she can fit into that era perfectly with her glamour girl looks. She further added that she looked into different areas while designing the collection. The first point was that, “It was really important for me to design this range for all women, in all shapes and sizes.” The second important point, “We wanted to create something luxurious but affordable.”

Looks like she has achieved what she started out to do. The lingerie collection is sensuous, affordable and caters to every size and shape. What she did forget to say is, “You don’t have to be me to wear this collection.” The lady is gorgeous folks and god was smiling in heaven when he made her.
