Willow Smith is the new face of Chanel
Chanel has announced that Willow Smith will be its newest face.
The 15-year-old singer and actress was appointed by Karl Lagerfeld personally to be the newest and youngest brand ambassador of the french fashion house. Willow, who is the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, first met Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld in 2014 for a V Magazine photoshoot. She also attended the Chanel Autumn Winter 2016 runway show in Paris, sitting front row with her mother.
‘Thank you Karl Lagerfeld and the entire team at Chanel for expanding the perceptions of ‘beauty’ by picking me to be the new Chanel ambassador. I am honoured,’ she wrote on Instagram.
Smith joins the likes of Lily-Rose Depp, Kirsten Stewart and Vanessa Paradis who have served as ambassadors for the brand.
