Burberry launches Swimwear capsule in collaboration with Hunza G

British luxury fashion house Burberry has released a new Swimwear capsule collection created in collaboration with London-based swimwear label Hunza G.
Famous for its one-size-fit design approach for more than 40 years, Hunza G’s Original Crinkle – a textured, ultra-stretch fabric crafted with more than nine million stitches per garment has the unique ability to support and sculpt every body.
United by a shared commitment to material innovation, the collection is built on minimalist, body-sculpting and instantly recognisable signature Hunza G styles with trademark fabric across four signature silhouettes, the Faye, Tyler, Domino and Devyn. Burberry’s iconic Equestrian Knight is reimagined as a playful seahorse motif tailored for underwater adventures while the B shield alongside a banner with Hunza G lettering, appears as an appliqued label on the collection’s cotton garment bags.
Key pieces include Burberry Check trims swimsuits, bikinis and a multifunctional swim skirt and tube top, dyed in a heritage-inspired colour palette of black, white, metallic cocoa and red. Each piece is accompanied by a matching scrunchie to wear on the beach or for summer around the city.
The collection is brought to life through a series of portraits by Ryan McGinley starring British actor Simone Ashley and model Alva Claire wearing pieces from the swimwear capsule in idyllic beach settings.
‘There’s a natural connection between Burberry and Hunza G as British brands. Our approach to material and craft is shaped by a relationship to the elements – pieces you can wear in and out of the water,’ Burberry Chief Creative Officer, Daniel Lee stated in a press release.
‘Hunza G has always been about making women feel their most confident. Bringing that together with the heritage of Burberry felt natural, to create something special that feels effortless. That’s always been the goal,’ Hunza G founder and Creative Director, Georgiana Huddart added.
