Imaan Hammam launches her own capsule collection
Moroccan-Egyptian-Dutch model Imaan Hammam has teamed up with Los Angeles-based brand Frame to release a capsule collection.
Titled ‘Imaan Hammam x FRAME’ the inclusive collection comprises of 20 ready-to-wear items such as distressed jeans, sweatshirts, tees, and blazers. Each of the pieces are in line with her own personal style and are about her search for freedom and diversity. The accompanying campaign was shot by Erik Torstensson, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Frame, and is reflective of Hammam’s values, who is a passionate promoter for diversity within the industry.
The most noteworthy part of the collection are red graphic hoodies, with the words ‘freedom’, ‘diversity’, ‘youth’, and ’empowerment’ printed on them. ‘I chose the word ‘diversity’ because I think that everyone is unique and deserves to be celebrated. I chose ‘youth’ because I started as a young girl and because I think it’s very important to bring a lot of knowledge to the kids and show them that they can actually think big and follow their dreams. I chose ’empowerment’ because I think it’s very important to inspire and empower young girls around the world so they can actually express themselves and be themselves,’ Hammam says of the collection.
