Cartier Introduces High Jewelry Collection and Gemma Chan as Newest Global Ambassador
French luxury-goods conglomerate Cartier has released its newest High Jewelry Collection titled ‘En Equilibre’.
Due to its symbolic balance between nature and urbanity, that echoes its core philosophy, the collection was unveiled in Stockholm at an exhibition in the historic Nacka Strandmassen industrial building.
Comprising of 115-pieces, including six high jewelry watches and three objects, ‘En Equilibre’ showcases the Maison’s signature balance of artistic restraint and bold design. Crafted with nearly 100,000 hours of artisanal work, it is defined by clean lines, bold volumes, and a interplay of full and empty spaces.
Highlights within the collection are a subset of standout pieces such as the Shito necklace with 49.37-carat Zambian emerald drops and diamond curves, the Hyala necklace with rose gold, sapphires, and diamonds for a transparent effect, the Summae set featuring troidia-cut diamonds, onyx, and emerald beads in a minimalist black, white, and green palette, the Panthere Orbitale that reimagines Cartier’s iconic panther, and the Pavocelle necklace with rare gemstones like a 58.08-carat Ceylon sapphire.
Coinciding with the release of the new collection, Cartier has announced British actress and producer Gemma Chan as its newest ambassador. Known for role in Crazy Rich Asians, her appointment reflects her long-standing relationship with the Maison, having worn Cartier jewels at various cultural events.
